So we know that all celebrity gossip is not good gossip, but somehow, we just do not care – we want more and more. We want to believe that what we read is true, and that the gossip is law. That is why so many blogs such as TMZ and Perez Hilton do so well, because they are able to fuel the celebrity gossip headlines, and make the headlines seem true, even if they may not be. Sometimes it comes with a great expense – at the expense of the celebrity, but is that what they sign up for when they enter into the eyes of the public – public scrutiny?
I know that Will Smith, Margot Robbie, and JadaPinkett-Smith wish that they were not in the headlines this week for some celebrity gossip which made absolutely no sense, yet it always seems to follow the Smiths at least once or twice a year when people are talking about their marriage being on the rocks. They also always make the celebrity gossip headlines about being in an open relationship, so we wonder why the public would even be continually into the headlines of them cheating on one another.
So the celebrity gossip does not have to be true, but for some reason it does not matter as long as we are entertained by the headlines and some of the imaginary stories that comes along with the gossip. It comes with a huge price to be in the headline of celebrity gossip tabloid – ask Lamar Odom and KhloeKardashian Odom? Every week they make the headlines – for instance, this week, it was said that Khloe has sold their home, and is now moving on for good. Khloe later the next day said that was absolutely false, but we, the public held onto the headline to be the gospel – celebrity gossip gospel that is.
